Windows 7 So much better!

I waited a bit to finally start recommending clients to Windows 7. It should have been what Microsoft released instead of Vista. Everything seems to work out of the box. Nothing spectacular - you expect things to work - which Vista didn't!

Networking works - no spinning circle for 10 minutes in some instances

Most of the programs install now without pausing or sticking.

Less Dialogs appearing under opened windows

Printers still behave the same - one bad driver brings the print spooler down. Nothing has changed in this area. same issues in Windows 2000/XP still happen in Vista/Windows 7

There is an XP mode if some of the Windows 7 versions to help with running those old programs you can't find current versions for Windows 7.

All your old printers, cameras, and other hardware is still as useless as it was for Vista. Windows 7 doesn't support anymore hardware than Vista. I think it actually supports less!

If you have new hardware and new software get Windows 7 - otherwise save yourself some money and stay with what you have if it works!
